In addition to advertising, we solicited bids for the purchase of a convection steamer (specifications attached) for the Black Oak Elementary Cafeteria. Funds are available for this purchase within the Central Cafeteria Fund budget for the current fiscal year as previously approved by the Board. We received bids from two (2) companies, which are summarized on the bid request tally sheet. Individual bids were as follows:

Hotel & Restaurant Supply, Memphis – $14,884.00
Federal Equipment Dealers, Memphis – $16,048.72

The low bid, including installation and the disposal of the old steamer, was submitted by Hotel & Restaurant Supply in the amount of $14,884.00. This company is located in Memphis, TN.

I recommend approval of the low bid as submitted by Hotel & Restaurant Supply in the amount of $14,884.00.
